What is it?
We usually think of a nervous breakdown or nervous collapse as a sudden loss of ability to cope with everyday situations because of extreme fear, depression, tearfulness, confusion and loss of confidence. These are just a few of the possible symptoms.
|

Why has it happened?
If you are having a nervous breakdown usually it is because of either self- created or externally-caused stress of a high order. Eventually the nervous system says, "Enough!” and, “It is time to change”. The breakdown happens so that we can enter into a 'breakthrough' process, into rediscovering a truer self.

Can I recover?
This depends on how willing you are to change, to be courageous in exploring new ways of looking at yourself and at the world. If you are open to the idea of the 'old you' being replaced by a 'new you', your recovery is assured. |

How long will it take??
The length of time taken to recover can vary from a few weeks to several years. It depends on your willingness to change, the level of self-deception to be overcome, and the kindness of faith or grace which will provide the tools required for your self transformation. |
